This presentation should help the audience with the following understanding:
· Learn the basics about different fire control systems (building types and sizes, occupancy, etc) .
· Learn about inspection, maintenance, and repair requirements for fire-life safety systems in residential buildings from townhomes to high-rises.
· Understand fire inspection requirements described in The Oregon Fire Code, and Portland Fire and Rescue - Title 31: Fire Code and Policies Fire Safety Inspection Program.
· Learn about Who is qualified to do the inspection and maintenance, How often do inspections need to occur? How does the reporting process work and how to respond if deficiencies and maintenance needs are required or identified.
· Common property vs in-unit property – who is responsible and how to ensure everything is addressed and maintained properly.
· Understand insurance expectations, your responsibilities, and ramifications of not maintaining systems.

Is a retired fire official who now lives at the Westerly. Bill sits on the maintenance committee at The Westerly Condominiums and along with his past experiences is integral in helping guide the association with respect to fire life-safety systems.
Dave Brune
There’s a lot of certification numbers and references after Dave’s name that I’ve left off but he is the Service and Inspection s manager with Red Hawk Fire Protection and has first hand knowledge regarding the inspection requires of sprinkler systems.
