LEGISLATIVE ACTION COMMITTEE ("LAC")

Delegates present: Barbara Kanz, Denise Bower, Karna Gustafson,
Cheryl Brendle, David Schwindt, Jack Herring and Rich Vial

A. Treasurer's Report. David Schwindt reported we have $3,907.50 in the bank. Discussion followed relative to payment of the LAC fees. Denise Bower said she would send a letter to the people who had not paid.

B. Approval of Minutes. The October 19, 2004 Minutes were approved.

C. Discussion on Politician's Reception. Delegates discussed whether it would be appropriate to have a lunch or breakfast at the Capitol for key legislators. It was decided that we would wait until after the session starts.

D. Lien Priority. Barbara Kanz reported that the Bill is still being drafted. We may need to spend some money on lobbying on this Bill. Denise Bower reported that CAI National may help with it as well. Denise Bower will also discuss our Bill with the HBA.

E. Working Group Liaison. Barbara Kanz discussed various provisions of the Bill the Working Group is proposing.

F. OWCAM Liaison Report. They have an expo coming up on January 21, 2005.

G. CAI Liaison. David Schwindt reported that CAI is having its annual meeting November 18, 2004.

H. Unfinished Business. Dominic Colletta has been approved as a delegate.

Next meeting was scheduled to be December 21, 2004 but has been cancelled and rescheduled to January 18, 2005.
